Hi! My name is Benny. I was born in China in 1977 and immigrated to the United States when I was eleven years old.
I started drawing when I was eleven and continued to find a passion in art. However, I never had formal training in art until 1999 when I enrolled in the Fine Arts program at a community college of New York City. In 2002, I enrolled in the Animation program at the School of Visual Arts and graduated at the summer of 2006.
Things that had major influences in my art development early on were videogames (both 2D and 3D), Chinese comic books, and Chinese novels. Western art and films (of different genres and different countries) were influential in my art study at colleges. I currently live in New York City.
